Comedy Drama and a Few Cries
On Sunday I went with a group of friends to watch one of the top trending movies of the summer, Girl’s Trip, staring Queen Latifah (Sasha), Regina Hall (Rayn), Jada Pinkett Smith (Lisa) and Tiffany Haddish (Dina).
Without revealing too much …
Rayn is the girl who says “you can have it all,” the marriage, career and a good time. Well her and her husband Stewart has taken the world by storm with their book “You Can Have It All.” They are the ultimate “relationship goal couple.” In the mist of having everything a girl could ever dream of , a successful husband, a career , “the life,” we discover that everything is not what it appears. Stewart has a secret life and Rayn knows all about it.
Lisa is miss particular. She is a mother of two and after and unwanted divorce she finds herself living with her mother and picky as ever. She said she is happy with her life but time reveals that she placed herself in a box and never found her way back out.
Dina is wild and crazy. Every friendship circle needs a friend like this. She is down for whatever whenever and is very loving and loyal to the ones she cares for. She finds herself in a few messy situations due to her outgoing personality but she knows how to handle herself.
Sahsa is the journalist gone “Messy Betsy.” She started as a successful journalist writing stories for magazines such as Forbes but now herself revealing messy stories about celebrities and their personal lives.
With all the personal life drama, the girls decided to join Ryan for an all expense pain girl’s trip, to the great city of New Orleans for the Essence Festival. In this great city is where all the drama, laughs and cries unfold.
I will say no more LOL but the bonding trip of the four best friends revealed many truths about their close bond. The chemistry and bonding on screen definitely undeniable.
The “Flossy Possy” reminds you that life’s biggest moment are spent with the ones who love you the most.
For me personally, the movie highlights the fulfilling moments of sharing life with the closest people in your life. I can reflect on moments with friends that turned into memories that will last a lifetime. You never know where life will take you but, you appreciate the people who never judged you or left you in your biggest successes or great failures.
Girls Trip is a must see film whether it’s with a group of friends or date night it will be a night to remember.
I’m going to book my next vacation right now!!! lol
